Yamakwakwa NHC Outreach Post
Project Launch:
Yamakwakwa, Zambia is located 20 kilometers from the nearest regional health center. Distance and lack of transportation have created a very visible gap in the access to quality health care for people living in the village. Ill and injured residents must take a substantial risk in order to reach medical care, jeopardizing their health and safety. This project proposes the construction of a local health outreach post to provide much needed care to local residents. In this way, more villagers will be attended by medica personnel closer to home, preventing risky, hazardous, and economically infeasible trips in order to receive medical attention.
