Kachenga Community-based Child Care Center (CBCC)

The Kafanikhale Village Development Committee is embarking on improving early childhood education by constructing Kachenga Community-Based Childcare Center (CBCC) in the community. The new CBCC will provide a safe and conducive learning environment for under-five children and is expected to increase enrollment from 96 to 120. Furthermore, the modern facility will enhance learner attendance, ensuring children graduate to primary school with basic reading and numerical skills.
Project Update: 1-16-25
The construction of Kachenga CBCC project in Kafanikhale village, T/A Msakambewa has made significant progress since its commencement on October 28, 2024. Utilizing 60% of the total funding, the Kafanikhale Village Development Committee, in collaboration with the community, has successfully constructed a 10m by 6m CBCC to the roofing level. Upon completion, the CBCC will provide a conducive learning environment for over 100 children in the early childhood development stage, equipping them with basic reading and numerical skills to prepare them for primary education. This project is set to have a lasting impact on the educational foundation of the community.
