Integrated Community Tree Nursery for School Gardens in Ikata Village
Project Launch: 1-10-18
Ikata Village in Cameroon is planning to establish an Integrated Community Tree Nursery for 3 schools (2 Primary schools and one Secondary). They aim to plant 3,000 plants including fruits trees, ornamental trees, shading/compound trees and flower beds. Some of the trees will produce fruit, and when they do, student will be provided with nutritious food.
The trees will also serve to beautify the schools and inspire eco clubs. Student-led, eco clubs will spread environmental awareness and activities at each school and into the surrounding community.
