Vision for Kids and Teens
Project Launch: 12-31-19
There are about 75 million children 0-15 years in Nigeria, of which 75,000 are blind and those with moderate to severe visual impairment are unaccounted. Vision for Kids and Teens is an initiative aimed at improving awareness and access to eye care services amongst children in Nigeria in order for them to maximize educational opportunities and achieve their dreams. The project will train 200 teachers and school clinic nurses easy steps to identify and refer children with vision problems, provide eye screening kits and education manuals for 10 schools in the Niger Delta region.
