Keta Community Health Screening for Persons with Disability

Yesutor Amedofu, a Yali Mandela Washington Fellowship alumni will partner with a local organization Butterfly Ghana Foundation to raise awareness and improve access to health services for people living with disabilities (PWD). With a grant total request of $3,467.74, the project seeks to start a bi-annual mobile health screening targeting PWD and to promote awareness towards the importance of regular health checks for older children and adults. The project will also introduce a disability desk in the community through which PWDs can reach community health volunteers who can facilitate their access to health services whenever necessary. The aim is to ease access to health services for people living with disabilities in the community.
