Karama Beauty Salon, Imboni Block B
Project Launch: 11-19-24
The Karama Beauty Salon project aims to establish a unisex salon to provide essential grooming services and create economic opportunities for residents of the Karama IDP Model Village. Led by the Itsinda Imboni Block B group, this initiative will address a growing demand for hair care, pedicure, and manicure services in the community. With a grant of $4,452.55 from World Connect and a coinvestment of $2,584 from the community, the project will fund salon equipment, workspace rental, and essential supplies. By offering affordable, high-quality services and training opportunities, the project seeks to generate income for members, particularly women, enhance local employment, and contribute to the community’s overall development. Sustainability will be achieved through reinvested profits, skill-building initiatives, and strong community involvement.
