Fresh Milk Business
Project Launch: 12-1-24
The Fresh Milk Business project aims to establish a milk distribution enterprise in the Karama IDP model village addressing the community's demand for fresh milk and providing employment opportunities. Led by the Indatwa Block E community organization, the initiative will involve 33 members who are already saving weekly to support the project. A grant from World Connect will fund critical equipment such as a milk cooler, bicycles for delivery, and rental space. Milk sourced from Inyange industries will be sold locally, with a focus on improving nutrition, particularly for women and children, and boosting the economic resilience of community members. The project envisions a sustainable model through reinvestment of profits, consistent community savings, and expansion into additional product offerings.
