Ahadi - Jiwo Paro Textile and Appparels Making Project
Project Launch: 7-23-19
This project supports female micro-entrepreneurs with the skills and equipment needed to generate income. The project will involve conducting a market scan in rural and pre-urban market centers around Kisumu county in order to established seamstresses and gaps in the market. The community organization has already trained 335 seamstresses to date. The women primarily make school uniforms and authentic traditional Kenyan dresses. The existing seamstresses belong to savings and loans groups and will co-sign for one another for the sewing machines.
