Karama Leather Shoes Production Business
Project Launch: 11-19-24
The Karama Leather Shoes Production Business project aims to create economic opportunities for residents of Karama IDP Model Village by establishing a leather shoe production and distribution business. Supported by the Ubumwe Karama group, this initiative will engage community members, particularly young women and men, to manufacture and sell high-quality shoes. With a grant of $4,759.56 from World Connect, the project aims to procure essential equipment, raw materials, and workspace while providing training to enhance skills. By shifting their current work from producing shoe parts to crafting full leather shoes, the group aspires to meet market demands, improve their income levels, foster financial self-reliance, and reduce unemployment within the community. Sustainability will be ensured through reinvested profits, efficient resource utilization, and capacity building.
