Katakel Women's Garden
Project Launch: 4-6-17
The Katakel Women's Garden project is a shared garden run by 25 women in Katakel, Senegal. The purpose of the garden is to provide a space for growing vegetables which the women will in turn sell to support their families. This garden will create an ongoing income for its members as well as nutritious food for the community. Classes will be offered to the gardeners who will learn about improved horticulture strategies and ways to improve the agricultural efficiency of their operation.
