Construction of a medical laboratory, pharmacy, and consulting room
Project Launch: 1-12-24
Fellows of Change will expand the Osramane health post by building and equipping a medical laboratory at the clinic using investment from World Connect and the community. The center sees an average of 500 patients per month and the number is expected to increase by 20% in the next five years. Currently, the center is unable to meet the growing demand for its services as it is experiencing shortage of staff and adequate working space for available medical officers. Through this grant, the project will construct a medical laboratory, pharmacy, and consulting room that will increase access to primary healthcare delivery and offset financial cost of transportation to the municipal hospital for laboratory tests which will enable patients to receive timely medical care. This will bring about reduced infant and maternal mortality and the incident of accidents while traveling to the municipal hospital for treatment.
