Girls Dormitory in Kitandililo
Project Launch:
At Kitandililo Secondary School there many students who have to walk two hours to school, each way, everyday. Because they often need to walk during dark hours, students, especially girls, are put at particular risk.
Once they arrive, they are often too exhausted to be attentive during class, limiting their academic potential. There is currently only one dormitory, which is full and houses 48 out of the 205 female students.
This project will fund a new girl’s dormitory, providing girls at Kitandililo Secondary School with more time and a safe space to study, access to nutritious food, and increased potential for academic achievement.
