Rabbit Farming Project
Project Launch: 1-24-24
In Shyogwe Sector of Muhanga district where this project is going to be implemented, more than half of community members (54%) don't have enough money for basic things. Many families (60%) struggle to have two meals a day and most people (80%) only get to eat meat on special occasions. This project was chosen because rabbits are easy to be raised and require less feed yet reproduce and multiply very quickly. for the start, 100 rabbits will be procured and raised in a collective place. once they produce, each member of the group, will be given a rabbit to go and raise in theoir own home. The rest of the offprings will be sold to generate income for the cooperative which will ultimately be shared by cooperative members as agreed.
