GGSS Barnawa Livelihood Skills Center

Government Girls Secondary School Barnawa is the only secondary school that is accessible to families are not able to afford private education, conisdereing they offer free education for girls in Kaduna state. In the Barnawa community It has become a norm for young girls to be married off immediately after secondary education or sometimes even before completing it. In an effort to address the challange of early child marriage, this project aim to establish a livelihood skills center in Government Girls Secondary School Barnawa, Kaduna. The center will train girls on catering, tailoring and basic entrepreneurship skills. Afterwards, activities at the center will be integrated into the school’s home management curriculum for teaching practical livelihood skills to all secondary students in their final year of school.
