Word Connect Nigeria
Co-investing with Nigerian communities to advance progress on locally-identifed priorities
World Connect
Nigeria Overview
Since 2017, World Connect Nigeria has supported 135 projects designed by local communities across the country to support their priorities. With a 95% project success rate, these communities have made advancements in health, education, environment, and economic opportunity for over 185,000 Nigerians.
Our co-investment model means that, alongside World Connect Nigeria's grant funding, the communities we partner with contribute cash, labor, and supplies to each project. This approach fosters local ownership and strengthens the pathway toward sustainability beyond the project timeline. Local leaders and their communities implement and monitor their projects, helping to develop news skills and uniting people around the continued wellbeing of their community.
